My project’s purpose was to connect the community with local makers and creators in the natural spaces that inspire them and connect artists together. To create the scavenger hunt, items were purchased, placed in safe containers and hidden by myself and other makers. Items were placed in parks, on paths, at markets, and in other public spaces. People then were then able to go onto the community pages and find clues that would help them discover the locations of the items. They were encouraged to share their finds on the community page with a hashtag. I found the biggest challenge was getting people to share so we could gauge the projects success. To solve this issue, next time if they share their finds they will be entered into a draw for another prize. I will also leave a note with a QR code so other hunters can share they were there and be entered into a draw. Cost of art was also a challenge because I would not undervalue local creators or request free service. Next time I plan to fundraise so I can access more items to share, that way more people can participate.  It was a great way to get families out exploring new and forgotten places. The picture shared is on Gunsite trail with a local youth on a mission to hide some items. All and all it was a lot of fun and hopefully got a lot of people out exploring together.
