This is how my event went: There were 15 people in my backyard as I set up all the supplies and began introducing our activities, such as a friendly painting competition, portraits, and much more. Everyone had a fun time, and that wouldn’t have been possible without the small grant, so thank you. I introduced them to the small grant process and how to sign up to continue spreading fun and creative environments where newcomers and people with similar interests can have a good time. Im also very glad I was able to introduce some newcomers that participated in the event to each other, being someone that is new to a country is definitely overwhelming and can make you feel very alone so I was glad I was able to provide a space where they could meet eachother leading to more connections in the community and even making communities of their own. .
