What happens when you bring together EFT tapping, the Medicine Wheel, watercolors, and 25 people willing to slow down for an afternoon?
Something pretty special.
On April 18, 2026, Sandra Weames and Lucilla Girotto had the pleasure of facilitating a free wellness workshop focused on stress reduction, self-care, and creative expression. Participants spent time learning a simple EFT tapping sequence to help calm the nervous system, exploring the Medicine Wheel as a guide for reflection and balance, and expressing themselves through intuitive watercolor painting.
What stood out most was not the techniques themselves, but the willingness of participants to show up, be present, and connect with themselves and each other. There was laughter, thoughtful conversations, moments of quiet reflection, and a lot of beautiful creativity.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was seeing everyone’s watercolor paintings come to life. No two were alike, and each one told its own story. It was a reminder that there is no right way to process experiences, only each person’s unique path.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who joined and helped create such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The workshop demonstrated the power of coming together as a community to learn, reflect, and support one another.
Sandra and Lucilla are also grateful to the Campbell River Community Foundation and the Neighborhood Small Grants program for making this workshop possible.
The afternoon left many feeling inspired, and it is hoped that participants walked away with a few new tools, a little more calm, and perhaps a renewed sense of connection to themselves.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this special gathering.
