The Bulldog Music Festival was a wonderful success! With the support of a $400 grant, we purchased food (juice, popcorn, cookies, chips, and ice cream) with half of the funds, and Long & McQuade gift cards for all performers with the other half. The Music Council executives at our school coordinated this event alongside our school band teacher to host and promote the festival. We were proud to feature 11 talented performer groups who showcased their skills in the auditorium after school. While there were some minor technical issues and awkward transitions, we have learned valuable lessons and will ensure smoother execution next time. Although our audience was smaller than hoped, we still welcomed a wonderful turnout, and everyone enjoyed the experience. Due to the lower turnout, we had an abundance of food and quickly distributed the remaining ice cream to prevent it from melting. For future events, we plan to advertise earlier and create a RSVP form to better estimate the amount of food needed.
