I began Baking Bread and Sourdough to gain knowledge and experience for my Culinary Art career during the pandemic and losing my job soon after March 15, 2019.

When I heard What the CTB and the Neighborhood Small Grant Program was about, I was already distributing bread to folks in my community. I can righteously say that applying to this program and offering more bread to people in financial need was a blessing. This program allowed my to reach more people with my endeavor and even allowed me to create a non-profit operation with food safety goals as a mission.

I am now living in Port Alberni and continue to deliver baked good to people that need it. I have extended the availability and growth of what I can offer. I can now offer fresh grown organic produce and specialty foods to toward act of kindness and food resiliency for our community.
