With the grant from NSG, we were able to build a lovely community garden. Neighbours and friends came together to clean up, dig out, and build a raised garden bed in an unused area in our co-op. We planted a lot of lovely vegs and learned some valuable lessons about growing things. We also ate a lot of tomatoes. On Aug 20/23, we had a barbecue, inviting everyone in the building to enjoy the fruits of our labour. A lot of folks brought home baking. We had a lovely afternoon eating what we had grown, burgers and baked goods and just enjoyed some time with our neighbours and friends. The day was a great success, and we hope to do more things like this in the future.
